Older and Wiser ;)

I have not heard from Duke yet. I know they are a busy place and with the hitches in my insurance coverage, that may be throwing a wrench in things. I surely hope to hear from them this week. I left a message last Thursday and will rattle their cage again tomorrow.

We have had some much needed rain here, so high humidity is also a factor, and it has really been a struggle to be able to breathe lately with just about any kind of exertion. Your continued prayers are appreciated, and thanks!

I did happen to turn 47 on Friday! Pretty amazing, all things considered! I am so glad that God has blessed me with fairly good health during my lifetime, as many CFs have not had that luxury. I am thinking of two children that I have met thru CF venues that really have periods where they struggle, and I wish this wasn't so, and also wish there was something I could do for them. I do say prayers for them, and I know that they are tough little troopers. There are some good things on the horizon for cystic fibrosis, so my wish is that the young generation of CFs (older too!) will have some major changes, for the better, in the very near future!!

Have a blessed week!

  3. Hi Lynda; I check in here frequently to learn about your latest status. Whenever I'm discouraged and wonder why things don't fall together the way I want/hope for them to, I remember that God has my concern in the palm of His hands. The waiting is hard, I know. Hoping you are a bit better now that the rains are on hold for awhile and the air is somewhat drier. Sending you my continued prayers and love.

  4. Hi Lynda my name is Gary Rudd, I was in your rehab at Barnes in Dec. Sheila and I were devastated when we heard you were taken off the transplant list. Your sister Marcia and my wife talked a lot while we were in rehab. I got my new lungs Jan. 14th, I am doing great. I have had no rejection at all. We have been thinking and Praying for you a lot. BJC Lung Transplant Support team is a facebook page I go to. I will chat with you later. We will be praying for you and your family. God does answer pray,He answered mine.

  5. Gary, it's good to hear from you! I did know that you got your transplant. Jan told me :) We connected thru facebook and I asked her about you, and she said you had gotten yours! So thrilled for you!! Praise the Lord! I just sent you a facebook message. Since we're not friends, it will go to your "other" message file.
Thank you for the prayers and encouragement!
